With years of knowledge and experience in the seed world, our expertise in the world of seed production is unrivalled. Westyard is well versed in all aspects of seed production and our familiarity with a wide range of species characteristics ensures that we find opportunities where other companies only see pitfalls.

The worldwide network that has been built up over the years in the research, production, purchase and sale of seeds is of great value. Westyard has set up a unique production concept ideally suited to the seed sales market, particularly in Europe and the USA, with an area of over 5000 hectares in seed production.

In collaboration with our large production units selected by Westyard itself in Germany, Scandinavia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary, seed is produced to a very high standard. Westyard takes care of contracts, advice, harvesting and the entire processing process right up to and including delivery to our customers, in a professional manner. In addition to contract production, Westyard also sells a range seeds of our own varieties including grass and other species. We also offer mixtures incorporating our own varieties.

Westyard’s heritage is more than 60 years of experience in the field of grass seeds.! Our grass seed organization was  founded by Rob Westerhof on January 1, 2016, after he had taken over all the activities of Nas Ag-Consultancy. But our history goes a little further back. Nas Ag-Consultancy was in the hands of Michel Nas, a grass seed expert who has worked for more than 40 years within the Royal Barenbrug group and set up his own grass seed organization in 2004. This knowledge and expertise, in combination with Rob Westerhof’s more than 25 years of experience in the grass seed business, characterizes Westyard.
